Paper-craft object

 Paper-craft object  https://www.thisiscolossal.com/2013/06/sculptures-hand-cut-from-single-sheets-of-paper-by-nahoko-kojima/ Paper-craft is the process of manipulating paper in ways to create different shapes and images. This can range from the most basic of paper airplanes to the most complicated of designs like intricate shapes and objects with mobility. These creations can be 2D or 3D depending on the artist.       The first image I put is of Sumi, an 8.5 metre long crocodile that Nahoko had made in 2019. The paper she used for this piece was painted with black and gold paint on both sides prior to cutting to create a more dynamic and visually appealing look. The second piece is called Cloud Leopard, made in 2013 for her Paris exhibit.  Trace Image Project  Unfolded Shapes 1-3 Unfolded Shapes 4-6 Unfolded Shapes 7-9 Unfolded Shapes 10-11 During the learning of the process, I was really happy to have learned how each side of shapes are able to be moved and collapsed in ways that it can be refolded again. A major challenge I found was figuring out how to rotate each individual side of the shapes, so after being taught how to navigate the preset option on Rhino, I found things to be a lot easier. Overall I found this lesson to be a very helpful one, especially because it will become very useful for our big paper project.
